Apstrakt
This paper deals with the connection of contextual factors of school environment with students’ achievements in the school subjects of mathematics and the Serbian language, with the primary goal of establishing the basic features of connection concerning the teaching methods and forms applied. The survey comprised 600 seventh-grade elementary school students, utilising the descriptive method and the scaling technique for gaining data. Given the results of the survey, one can conclude that the higher the grades assigned by teachers to the aforementioned aspects of the teaching methods and forms applied, the higher the scores from these school subjects by students.
